Susan (Sue) Barber is a senior partner in the firm’s Regina office. She devotes much of her time to civil litigation, with a particular focus on labour and employment, but including administrative law, general civil litigation, commercial litigation and estate litigation.
Sue is an experienced litigator, with a particular focus on all aspects of labour and employment law including:

- Negotiating, reviewing and drafting employment agreements
- Negotiating, reviewing and drafting termination packages
- Negotiating, interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements

- Privacy issues
- Professional discipline
Sue helps clients and businesses navigate through workplace personnel matters, labour relations, and conflicts and disputes. She has been designated in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading practitioner and in The Best Lawyers in Canada in labour and employment. She frequently serves as a consensual arbitrator in labour disputes and has conducted investigations and made recommendations respecting workplace harassment and other issues that arise in the workplace, including professional misconduct.
Sue has appeared in many forums including the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, specialized arbitration boards, specialized administrative tribunals, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal.
Sue also has considerable general civil and commercial litigation experience.
Sue received her Queen’s Counsel designation in 2008 in recognition of her contributions to the legal profession and public service.
