David is a litigation associate at the Regina office. His practice primarily focuses on the area of family law, including acting as a mediator. He has appeared at all levels of court in Saskatchewan, and has successfully represented an appellant at the Supreme Court of Canada.
David has extensive litigation experience, primarily in the area of family law. He represents clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, child support, spousal support, property distribution, parenting, child protection and adoptions.
David is also a Family Mediator recognized by Section 44.01 of The King’s Bench Act, 1998 in Saskatchewan. His litigation practice includes representing clients on interim applications, trials, and appeals, including leave applications for and hearings at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Prior to joining McDougall Gauley in 2023, David gained experience both in private practice and in the public sector.
In addition to his family law practice, David has worked in the areas of criminal defence and estate litigation.
David has presented at numerous seminars, including at the Federation of Law Societies National Family Law Program in 2022 on the topic of calculating child and spousal support for farmers.
