McDougall Gauley LLP is pleased to announce that William J. Shaw, Q.C. and Foster Weisgerber, Q.C. have recently been awarded the Queen's Counsel designation. This appointment recognizes the professional integrity and significant contributions to the practice of law and to the citizens of Saskatchewan.
William (Bill) Shaw was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1973 and became partner in 1980. Bill's practice focuses on commercial real estate with an emphasis on construction and condo law. Bill works in the Saskatoon office and is extremely active in the community. Bill has participated extensively locally, provincially and internationally in the development of water polo for over 30 years. Bill has been involved as a coach, referee, and Board Member at the national level as well as member of FINA, the governing body of national and international water polo.
Foster Weisgerber was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1997 and became partner in 2009. Foster has a civil litigation and family law practice and is a Certified Collaborative Lawyer. Foster is active in the community acting as Chair of the Water Appeal Board and the Corporate Secretary of the Saskatchewan Ambassador Alliance. Foster also volunteers his time coaching football and basketball.
