Sherry Fitzsimmons, Q.C. named a 2022 Excellence Awardee for the Gowlings WLG Award for Female Trailblazer of the Year by the Canadian Law Awards

McDougall Gauley LLP is very proud to announce that Sherry Fitzsimmons, Q.C. has been named a 2022 Excellence Awardee for the Gowlings WLG Award for Female Trailblazer of the Year by the Canadian Law Awards.

This award is open to all Canada-based women lawyers and is judged on professional accomplishments, leadership, community involvement, and the extent to which the individual has either passively or actively contributed to gender equality in the legal profession.

The “winner” of the award will be announced at the Canadian Law Awards gala on 19 May 2022 and profiled in Lexpert.

The Canadian Law Awards returns for its third year to recognize the nation’s leading law firms, in-house legal teams, individuals, deals and cases over the past year. It’s a true reflection of excellence in the legal profession. Excellence Awardees’ submissions will be reviewed by an esteemed independent judging panel and the scores tallied to determine the winner in each of the 20-plus categories.
