The CBA advocates for and provides training and information to members of the legal profession, while promoting fair justice systems. The CBA's Distinguished Service Award recognizes members' contributions to the legal profession, the law, or development of the law.
Nancy is a senior business lawyer with emphasis in mergers and acquisitions, complex contracts and corporate governance. She is a member of the board of the Canada West Foundation and chairs the board of Arthritis Society Canada. Among her past board service, Nancy served on the boards of the University of Saskatchewan, Cameco Corporation (CCO on the TSX; CCJ on the NYSE), CPA Canada, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. She was named one of WXN 100 most powerful women in Canada in 2013. Nancy was also honored with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
