McDougall Gauley LLP's Nancy E. Hopkins, K.C. will attend the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Fellowship Awards Gala and speak at an ICD Chapter Event.
The ICD National Director Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala is an annual gathering of Canadian directors, an event for networking, expanding knowledge, and driving success in governance. The Gala will pay tribute to the 2024 Fellows and recognize their significant contributions to board governance leadership. This event will take place on June 5, 2024 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Nancy has also been invited to speak at the ICD Chapter Event, "Celebrating 2024 ICD Fellowship Award Honoree - Nancy Hopkins". Nancy will share her insight and experience as a Director with many years of service, as well as her thoughts on the future of corporate governance. Nancy will be joined by Kathryn Wakefield, VP Chapter Relations from the National ICD Office. The event will take place June 20, 2024 at Delta Hotels Bessborough in Saskatoon.
The ICD is a not-for-profit, member-based organization representing Canadian directors and boards across the for-profit, not-for-profit and Crown sectors. As Canada's largest director community, the ICD creates forums for dialogue, hosts networking opportunities and provides access to world-class resources.
Nancy is a senior business lawyer with emphasis in mergers and acquisitions, complex contracts and corporate governance. She is a member of the board of the Canada West Foundation and chairs the board of Arthritis Society Canada. Among her past board service, Nancy served on the boards of the University of Saskatchewan, Cameco Corporation (CCO on the TSX; CCJ on the NYSE), CPA Canada, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
