McDougall Gauley LLP's Michael W. Milani, K.C. presented "Saskatchewan’s Sophisticated Commercial Law Landscape: A Practitioner’s Perspective" on October 17, 2022 at the McKercher LLP Lecture Series, and in his capacity as the Estey Chair in Business Law.
The McKercher LLP Lecture Series, established in 2014, brings a wide range of informative, educational and entertaining speakers to enlighten and engage with the law school community. It is hosted at the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.
Michael proposed that Saskatchewan has been, and continues to be, a leader in the development of commercial law. He detailed his theory as to why that has occurred and the convergence of elements that resulted in such development.
