James practices in McDougall Gauley’s Saskatoon office.
James’ practice is focused primarily on family law, estate and civil litigation. James has extensive experience both at trial in the Court of Queen’s Bench and before the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan. He is a certified mediator and collaborative lawyer, and certified by the ADR Institute of Canada as a Qualified Arbitrator.
James has served as a Sessional Lecturer in the Edwards School of Business and the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. He has been a guest speaker at the College of Law in the areas of mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He has presented for the Canadian Bar Association and Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. In 2018, he completed a two-year term as the President of Collaborative Professionals of Saskatchewan.
William practices in McDougall Gauley’s Regina office.
William maintains a civil litigation practice focused on complex commercial litigation, construction disputes, and regulatory proceedings. He has experience in the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan.
During law school, William served as a Managing Editor of the Saskatchewan Law Review and a teaching assistant for the College’s Legal Research and Writing course. Prior to joining McDougall Gauley, he clerked at the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan. William also obtained a Masters of Law from the University of Chicago Law School. William has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as “One to Watch” in corporate and commercial litigation, for 2022.
