McDougall Gauley LLP's Heather J. Laing, K.C. has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal associations in North America.
The ACTL is an invitation only fellowship of exceptional trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The ACTL seeks to improve the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics and administration of justice through education and public statements. The ACTL thoroughly investigates each nominee for admission and selects only those who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality.
The induction ceremony at which Heather became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of approximately 625 during the recent Spring Meeting of the College in Phoenix, Arizona.
Heather has an extensive practice in insurance law and litigation, with a focus on defending complex and large loss claims involving property damage, construction, and professional liability. She is the chair of McDougall Gauley's Insurance Law team and a member of the Executive Committee.
The firm congratulates Heather on this significant recognition.
