McDougall Gauley LLP is pleased to announce that Brian M. Banilevic, Q.C. and Heather J. Laing, Q.C. have recently been awarded the Queen's Counsel designation. This appointment recognizes the professional integrity and significant contributions to the practice of law and to the citizens of Saskatchewan.
Brian Banilevic was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1983 and became partner in 1992. Brian's practice focuses on litigation with an emphasis on family and criminal law. Brian works in our Regina office and extremely active in the community, acting as a coach in both hockey and baseball.
Heather Laing was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1995 and became partner in 2006. Heather's litigation practice focuses on insurance defence work and civil litigation. She has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan at the trial and appellate levels. Heather practices in our Saskatoon office and is active in the community. In 2013 Heather will serve as the President of the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
