What you will do:
You will be working closely with our lawyers and legal administrative assistants to deliver quality legal services to our clients and will be involved in a wide variety of legal tasks including:
- Conducting, reviewing and reporting on title searches, off-title searches, and real estate related due diligence
- Assisting lawyers with commercial acquisition and sale transactions including preparation of requisitions and documentation
- Assisting lawyers with financing transactions (lender/borrower sides)
- Assisting lawyers with preparation of documents for developments and subdivisions
- Facilitating filing of documents and plans with ISC
- Preparing reporting letters in respect of transactions
- Assisting generally with all matters relating to the Firm’s commercial real estate practice, as well as with client development initiatives
What you will bring:
- You have established yourself as a key resource in your successful legal career and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Your work history includes experience with commercial real estate and financing transactions
- Knowledge of legal and technical procedures, statutes, regulations, and applicable governmental practices is desired
- You have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, are detail-oriented, able to effectively meet deadlines, work well in a team setting and provide an exceptional level of client service
- You have knowledge working with ISC (Land Registry, Corporate Registry and Personal Property Registry)
- You embrace evolving technology and have strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
